The Leiston Surgery Education Foundation was established in 2022 with a clear mission: to support local students in achieving their educational aspirations and building successful careers through grants, mentoring, and work experience programmes.
Our Journey
From our registration in 2022 to becoming a vital part of the Leiston community, here's how we've grown to support local students.
Foundation Registered
Officially registered as UK Charity No. 1197432 with the Charity Commission.
First Grants Awarded
Awarded our first educational grants to 12 local students pursuing higher education.
Mentoring Programme Launch
Launched our mentoring programme connecting students with local professionals.
Work Experience Partnerships
Established partnerships with local businesses to provide work experience opportunities.
Programme Expansion
Expanded programmes to support 50+ students annually with enhanced mentoring services.
Record Impact Year
Achieved record numbers with 45 grants awarded and 320 hours of mentoring provided.
